Amanda Ottaway is a freelance writer and a former education coordinator at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. She attended Davidson College on a full athletic scholarship. There she majored in English (BA, 2012) and wrote for and edited “The Yowl,” the satire section of the student newspaper. Ottaway has worked as a reporter who has interviewed and written stories on colorful characters such as Pete Roscia, a statistician for the NBA’s Miami Heat, and Olympic bronze-medalist rowers Natalie Dell and Megan Kalmoe. Charlotte Magazine published her piece on her college buddy and current NBA superstar Stephen Curry.
