Diana Joseph has worked as a waitress, a short order cook, a typist and a teacher. Her fiction has been listed in Best American Short Stories and has been published in several literary journals, including Threepenny Review, Mid-American Review and the William and Mary Review. Her essay "The Boy" won the Kentucky Women Writers Prize for Creative Nonfiction, judged by Sarah Vowell. Joseph currently teaches in the MFA program at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
