Jerry Mahoney has been writing alternately about his life and police chases for the last 20 years or so. His website, “Mommy Man: Adventures of a Gay Superdad,” has made him well-known among the world of parenting bloggers. His personal essays have appeared on the popular websites The Morning News, Fresh Yarn, and in the New York Times’ Modern Love column. Jerry is a graduate of Columbia University and USC Film School (Master of Fine Arts, with honors), where he won a Paramount Fellowship and the Jack Oakie comedy writing prize. He has worked on comedic shows including MANswers (Spike TV), Beauty & The Geek (The CW), Date My Mom (MTV), and Hot Guys Who Cook (Style), as well as the unintentionally comedic shows World’s Wildest Police Videos (Fox), World’s Most Amazing Videos (Spike TV), The Adrenaline Rush Hour (Discovery), and Most Daring (TruTV). These days, Jerry is a stay-home father of twins. He lives in suburban New York with his boyfriend Drew Tappon and their two children.
