Neil Hayward is a lifelong birder who grew up in the UK and earned his PhD in genetics at Cambridge University before moving to the United States in 2005. He is now a dual citizen and works as a consultant in the biotech sphere from his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Featured in USA TodayBoston Globe, and Audubon, he is also the field trip coordinator for the Brookline Bird Club, the oldest birding club in the country, and he is the proud record-holder of the most birds found in North America in a single year.
