Nina Malkin

Before turning to books, Nina Malkin enjoyed a long career as a journalist, specializing in entertainment, lifestyles and relationships. Her work has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, Essence, In Style, The Los Angeles Times Magazine, The New York Times and Real Simple among numerous other publications. Her first YA novel, 6X: THE UNCENSORED CONFESSIONS (2005), and its sequel 6X: LOUD, FAST AND OUT OF CONTROL (2007) were published by Scholastic. AN UNLIKELY CAT LADY: FERAL ADVENTURES IN THE BACKYARD JUNGLE (2007), a memoir, was published by The Lyons Press. SWOON (2009), a paranormal romance, and its sequel SWEAR (2011) were published by Simon & Schuster. A native Brooklynite, Nina resides in the borough of her birth with her musician husband and assorted felines.
