Heather Christle has published four poetry collections, the most recent of which, The Trees The Trees (Octopus Books, 2011), won the 2012 Believer Magazine Poetry Award. Her poems have been broadcast internationally on programs including the BBC World Service’s Newshour and CBC Radio One’s As It Happens, and have been anthologized in several collections, including the Best American Poetry series. Christle’s newest poems are forthcoming domestically and internationally in Poetry, Granta, London Review of Books, and The New Yorker. Most recently, Christle was featured in an interview in Guernica. She teaches creative writing at Emory University in Atlanta. The Crying Book is her first book of nonfiction.
