Natalie Kossar has been performing since 1990 in her debut appearance as Shepherd #2 in the Protestant Chapel’s annual nativity play in Fairbanks, Alaska. She studied improv and sketch in Chicago for ten years, and performed at famed venues such as iO Chicago, ComedySportz Chicago, The Second City, The Laugh Factory, The Annoyance, and with Baby Wants Candy, Improvised Musical With Full Band at the Apollo Theatre.
In addition to performance, Natalie worked as coach and teacher of improvisational theatre in Chicago, and developed curriculum for the Chicago School of Professional Improvisation, which launched her into the arena of private consultation. As a Creative Consultant, Natalie has worked to share the benefits and joys of stage performance; utilizing techniques to help corporate professionals develop listening and collaboration skills. In Using Improv to Improve Public Speaking, Natalie partnered with The DePaul Women’s Network to use an improvisational approach to build public speaking skills with faculty at DePaul University.
Natalie Kossar is a Creative Writer for the Shoebox division of Hallmark. Following the successful launch of her Tumblr blog McCall’s Pattern Behavior, she has secured a book deal with Running Press Book Publishers to develop her blog into a book with the same title.
She currently lives in New Mexico, where she has filmed on AMC’s Better Call Saul, NBC’s The Night Shift, and is best friends with George R.R. Martin.
