Sally Bjornsen is a single girl turned wife and stepmother. She started her marketing career at NIKE, Inc. in the mid-’80s when she, along with ten other women, launched SIDE 1 a women’s only fitness brand. Bjornsen later opened VOICE an advertising agency specializing in marketing to women and drawing clients such as Ann Taylor, Women’s World Cup Soccer, SIDI Bicycle Shoes, Sierra Designs, and Microsoft. Bjornsen has a degree in liberal arts from Oregon State University and has completed the writing certificate program at the University of Washington. She is a commercial artist representative and also writes both nonfiction and fiction that have been published in various business trade journals and essay anthologies.
