Jay Heinrichs is the author of the New York Times bestseller Thank You for Arguing: What Aristotle, Lincoln, and Homer Simpson Can Teach Us About the Art of Persuasion (Penguin Random House). Published in 15 languages and 4 editions, with more than 600,000 copies in print in America, it has ranked among the top 10 books assigned by faculty at Harvard. His other books on rhetoric include How to Argue with a Cat: A Human’s Guide to Persuasion; and Word Hero, which teaches the persuasive art of “witcraft.”
As a persuasion and conflict consultant, Heinrichs has conducted influence strategy and training for clients as varied as Kaiser Permanente, Harvard, the European Speechwriters Association, Southwest Airlines, and NASA.
