John Richard Saylor is a professor of mechanical engineering at Clemson University, where he has published more than sixty articles in scientific journals. His writing has appeared in Discover magazine. He obtained his doctorate at Yale University, his master's degree at the University of Minnesota, and his bachelor's degree at the State University of New York, Buffalo, all in mechanical engineering.
