Rebecca Boyle is an award-winning freelance journalist, a contributing writer for The Atlantic and a frequent contributor at FiveThirtyEight. Her writing has also appeared in the New York Times, Aeon, Quanta, Wired, Popular Science, The New Yorker, New Scientist, Popular Mechanics, Air & Space, and Parade, and has twice been anthologized in the Best American Science & Nature Writing (2015 and 2018). Rebecca is a member of the group science blog The Last Word on Nothing. A 2003 graduate of Colorado State University with a double major in journalism and history, she was a 2011 Ocean Science Journalism fellow at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, and a 2013 journalism fellow at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado.
